EriSummit 2025 was an unforgettable weekend celebrating Eritrean excellence across culture, career, and community. From the aroma of the jebena to the sound of vintage cassette tapes, the event brought together hundreds of professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs from around the world to connect, build, and celebrate what’s next.
The weekend kicked off with the Diaspora Comedy Show at The Gathering Spot. Friday night’s Tezez Tapes: Echoes from the Archive offered an intimate fusion of Eritrean sounds in the background while attendees had the chance to mingle. On Saturday, the EriSummit Conference at the National Press Club featured panels on tech, media, and culture, followed by the EriSummit Celebration at Sachi — a global collaboration of Eritrean organizations. Sunday’s Jebena & Build at SOST D.C. added a fun matchmaking twist with “Pitch-A-Friend,” and Monday’s LOMI in Motion walk closed the weekend on a grounding note of reflection and community.
Thank you to everyone who traveled, spoke, volunteered, partnered, and danced with us. From first hellos to the last guayla, this is how a community builds.
