A Transformative Day of Discovery & Inspiration!

Eritreans in Tech partnered with the Eritrean Youth Mentorship Program for a special visit to the AWS Skills Center, bringing together youth ages 12 to 18, their parents, and community mentors for an afternoon of exploration and learning. The group participated in a hands-on tour that introduced them to foundational cloud concepts, emerging technologies, and real-world applications in an accessible and engaging way. Interactive demos allowed the students to experiment, ask questions, and see technology come to life, while Amazon professionals shared stories about their own career paths and offered practical guidance for breaking into the tech industry.

Parents and mentors had the opportunity to learn alongside the youth, creating a shared experience that strengthened support networks and opened doors to new possibilities. The trip offered inspiration, exposure, and a meaningful look at future career pathways.
